Well, we all know this that we go to any .com site just by typing the name of the site and pressing Ctrl + Enter. For example, say you typed google and pressed Ctrl + Enter will open the site www.google.com.
Yesterday I discovered two more shortcuts to go to .net and .gov sites.
1. Shift + Enter: This will open the .net site.
2. Ctrl + Shift + Enter: This will open the .gov site.
But these two works in firefox only.
Also, what do you do to open a site in a new tab? Do you open a new tab using mouse or by pressing Ctrl + T and then type the site name?
Well let me give you one more shortcut here. Just type the site name in the same tab and press Alt + Enter. For example, if it’s a .com site press Ctrl + Alt + Enter !! And this works in IE, Firefox and others too !!
You want more? J
Ok. A very quick one but really a useful one. How to go to address bar directly?
Using TAB? It may take a lot of time depending on where you clicked last on the page or where your cursor is !!
Using mouse? Take of your hand off the keyboard, hold the mouse, move the mouse to point to address bar and then click. WOW what a long procedure !!
My WAY: Press Alt+ D and see. J
Howzatt !!
Happy keyboarding !!
